COVID 19
Am Yisrael is deeply committed to the welfare, health and safety of its members, staff and guests. At the time of initial quarantine, the staff pivoted quickly and made the decision to turn our lively community virtual. We offered extensive programming online via Zoom and live streaming, including weekly Shabbat services as well as Holiday services, SJS classes and programs, informative and educational programming for adults, opportunities for our adult and younger members to "meet" with the Rabbi. We bring in outside presenters, utilize our members' areas of expertise and connect with our congregants in many ways. As of July, the decision was made to hold our High Holiday services virtually and to offer our SJS learning remotely as well. Our buildings remain closed until that time when it is deemed safe to return to in-person activities. Our virtual programming calendar is constantly growing. Please visit our Zoom & Adult Ed page for details.
