-Tisha b'Av Services
Sunday, July 18
9:30 a.m.

In our courtyard, weather permitting.

Tisha B'Av commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem and the subsequent exile of the Jews from the Land of Israel. The day also commemorates other tragedies which occurred on the same day. It is a fast day and is regarded as the saddest day on the Jewish calendar. Due to the solemnity of the day, ritual practices parallel those of a traditional mourner at shiva, specifically sitting on the floor. While not required, congregants are encouraged to sit on the floor during the reading of Aychah, the Book of Lamentation.

-Friday Night Services at the Rabbi and Dan's
Fri. Aug. 20 at 6:00 p.m.
Bring your own chair and kosher dinner.
Contact the office for directions and instructions on where to park.

-Rabbi's Study Class - Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m.

ON HIATUS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

-Cantor's Current Events Class - Thursdays at noon
Cantor Simon offers his weekly Current Events Class to the entire congregation.  Traditionally, this group has enjoyed a little bit of adult beverage while solving the world's problems.  During the quarantine, it's BYO, but by all means, feel free to grab your favorite beverage and join this lively group.

-Women's Network Book Group - Fridays at 10:00 a.m.
The book is "My Russian Grandmother and Her American Vacuum Cleaner: A Family Memoir" by Meir Shalev.   There is no "homework" -- we read the book together out loud at each meeting and there's no need to read anything ahead of time.  The book is a collection of short stories, so it's no problem if someone misses some of the book group meetings.

-Dr. Larry Layfer's Talmud Class
Mondays, once a month at 7:30 p.m.
Contact Bobbie Barry for more information.
